Join us for a night of music on the Thames as we re-launch the famous Kingston Folk Barge!
The Folk Barge in Kingston was one of the mainstays of the London folk and blues circuit of the 60’s. It was a regular venue of musical legends such as Nick Drake, John Martyn, Paul Simon, Jackson C. Frank and Sonny Boy Williamson II.
The original Folk Barge had no electricity or toilets and was towed for scrap long ago. It’s legacy remains however and on March 8th we are relaunching the venue aboard the ‘New Southern Belle’ to bring you the best music London has to offer.
The boat launches from Kingston at 7pm and will travel along the River Thames to Richmond and back. On the way we’ll stop to collect our Fish and Chip dinner (included in the ticket price) and will return to Kingston for 11pm.
Join us for a magical night of musical history on Kingston’s greatest old new venue!
Musical acts to be announced.
