Creative Youth is excited to announce that applications for Kingston’s 11th International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) are now open.
As one of the world’s largest multi-arts festivals for performers aged under 27, IYAF brings some of the greatest young talent from around the world to Kingston for 10 days of inventive, inspiring and groundbreaking theatre, music and dance. The 11th Festival will run from 5 – 14 July 2019 at venues across Kingston including performances held at Kingston’s Rose Theatre, Arthur Cotterell Theatre and a free outdoor stage with live music at the historic Market Place.
IYAF has a reputation for its welcoming atmosphere and supportive audiences. It provides a platform for professional companies or artists who are touring, or testing something new, and an exciting experience for festival first-timers looking for an opportunity to show what they can do.
The full Festival programme will be announced in May.

2018 marks the 10th anniversary of the International Youth Arts Festival. The festival ran from Friday the 6 – 15 of July.
One of the largest and most diverse youth arts events in the world, IYAF is platform for the best emerging international artists under 27 years old. More than 100 companies have been involved this year from all over the world.

Users who wish to upload photographs using the app grant Creative Youth and its agents full rights to use the photograph for current and subsequent marketing, in print, online or in any media, free of charge, and free from any obligation to credit the creator of the work.

Calling all young film-makers. The International Youth Arts Festival 2017 is calling for submissions to its 60 Second Cinema competition, in partnership with O2 and Go Think Big.
We’re looking for films of no more than 60 seconds on the subject of ‘Home.’ A selection of the best entries will be screened at the festival on the 9th July, followed by an award ceremony in the Rose Theatre Studio.
Films of any style or genre will be considered, and can be created using pro equipment or just a smartphone.
So unleash your imagination and start filming. The films can be comedies, silent, action, animation – anything. As long as it is no longer than 60 seconds.
Entrants must be 26 or under on 9th July 2017.

This competition is open to anyone aged 26 or under and the director/writer must be no older than 26. Entries with actors, extras or crew over this age will still be accepted.
Shortlisted entries will be announced on the 3rd of July 2017 with the screening on July 9th at 14:00 at the Rose Theatre Studio, Kingston.

Each film can be no longer than 60 seconds
No graphic violence
No unnecessary strong language
No nudity or scenes of a sexual nature
Creative Youth is looking for an energetic, creative and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Marketing & Events Manager. This is a huge opportunity for anyone who is interested in marketing and communications within an exciting organisation working close with creative individuals in a fast passed and dynamic environment. Creative Youth organises various and diverse events throughout the year and the International Youth Arts Festival Kingston which will take place from 8th-17th July 2016.
The individual will support the Chief Executive Officer in devising marketing plans for proposal to the Creative Youth team and Board; planning designated events and implementing agreed marketing plans in particular for The International Youth Arts Festival Kingston and other events to achieve financial targets and audience development objectives to support Creative Youth’s mission.
The ideal candidate will have a good level of experience of working in marketing, strong organisational and management skills, knowledge of budget manadement as well as strong relationship building and communication skills.
