QUIZ NIGHT @ VAGINUS HEMMINGWAY’S CABARET RATHOLE

About the show

This play takes place in the head of a hapless young waiter in the aftermath of a life-altering accident. In real time, it lasts about a second; luckily, real time doesn't apply in the Rathole.

Your gracious host Vaginus Hemmingway (full-time alter-ego) is keen on using the time-dilation to ensure everyone is ready for the apocalypse; the waiter is more preoccupied with trying to remember the faces of his loved ones.

Praise for QN@VHCR: ‘truly an amazing talented performer who commands that stage’

‘It made me worry about my mental health. I mean this in the best way possible.’

About the show

Lara Cosmetatos has co-written, script advised, performed and directed on projects across Fringe theatre, short film and narrative podcast.

Alongside the continued development of QN@VHCR, this year has seen their short film debut 'VERMILLION' by Merlin Stevens, a dreamlike, experimental, non-chronological film about three people lovingly failing to communicate with one another. They have also co-written on 'Pirates: You Wouldn't Steal A Boat' (Spruce Moose Comedy) and 'Pearly Gates: A Kafkaesque Romcom in Heaven' with Calum Macleod and Archie Williams. They also run free fortnightly variety night Big Scratch @ The Famous Cock, where comedians, clowns, musicians and thesps are warmly invited to ambush, inspire and derrange each other with their range of styles and media.
