Amidst an ever changing digital landscape in the age of social media, TikTok Killed The Living Room Star asks: What happens to the stars we once were in our living rooms?
How can we reclaim creativity when endless algorithms, doomscrolling, and TikToks steal our attention? How can we reconnect to our art, ourselves, our creativity, authenticity?
Through a blend of dance, physical theatre and intimate moments of raw expression, we witness the search for simplicity, resistance, and joy in a space dominated by digital noise; inviting you to question what we lose when we stop making for the sake of making.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Lu Greco (they/them) has been based in South London since 2020. They come from a strong dance background from ballet, to breaking, contemporary dance and movement research. Most of their work has been around questioning societal norms, family structure, human relationships, and dynamics, often with a queer lens. This is their first piece of work with a strong focus on mental health and our relationship with technology.
