  • Theatre
  • Visual Arts/ Installations/ Exhibitions

For 2024, we are looking to extend our fringe programme and alongside this develop Kingston’s late night cultural scene. We are really keen to hear from up-and-coming bands, artists and stand-up comics.

International applicants

Our team at FUSE are fully aware of the challenges our international friends and applicants can face, now more than ever with the uncertainties caused by the global pandemic and Brexit. We are fully committed to making your process to perform with us as smooth as possible and will help in whatever way we can.

Here are a few things we can help with:

FUSE Film

Applications for FUSE Film (part of FUSE International) which celebrates the work of young filmmakers, are made through FilmFreeway.

Sharing the creative talents of young filmmakers is more important than ever before and at the heart of our festival. Across the globe there are many film festivals throughout the year, but few who have a true focus on young emerging filmmakers. FUSE Film is here to provide an affordable platform for young filmmakers to get one of their first experiences of a film festival. There is the opportunity to showcase your films to an audience in a stunning venue in Kingston and have your films watched by an industry panel and enter our awards.

Awards & Prizes

There are 4 different categories available for you to apply for:

  • Best Miniature Film (5 minutes or under)
  • Best Short Film (Between 10-15 minutes)
  • Best International Short Film (Under 15 minutes and not based in the UK)
  • Best Local Film (Under 15 minutes and based in Kingston or surrounding areas)

Apply here

Application deadline: Sunday 31 March 2024. All applicants will have a response to their application by the end of May 2024.

A selection of finalists will be chosen from each category by an industry panel. The finalists will be put forwards for our Film Awards. Each finalist’s film will be screened live and online from our website where you get the opportunity to see your film on the big screen. Then in the evening, the red carpet is rolled out for the award ceremony, where the announcements of the winner of each category will be revealed by some special guests.
