“I can’t recommend this highly enough for everyone.” Eleanor Clark, Former Young Creative

Creative Youth are seeking our next cohort of aspiring and motivational young creatives to be part of a panel of emerging professionals. No matter your background we want to hear from you, we are looking for people from theatre, music, dance, visual art or any artistic background to join us.

You will assist in driving forward our artistic mission and assist us with planning and projects during this exciting phase of our development, including the opening of our new creative space and FUSE International 2023.

In return you as a young creative will be facilitated and supported by professionals in the sector and there are substantial learning opportunities to be involved in other aspects of Creative Youth’s work.

Interested? What are the next steps?

If you’re interested, and aged 18 – 26, then we’d love to hear from you!

Please send us an expression of interest as a one page letter or a video if you prefer. We want to know all about your creative interests, your artistic passions and what you could bring to the team.

We will conduct an online informal interview with our shortlist at a date to be confirmed shortly after the deadline stated below.

Deadline: Please send us your expression of interest, whether a written letter or in video format, to Daniel (General Manager) by Friday 24th February 2023 at midday.

If you have any queries or any access requirements please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the email address in the link above and we’d be more than happy to assist you with whatever it is you may require.

More Information:

We anticipate that the Young Creatives cohort will meet bi-monthly online.  Also with occassional in person meetings and opportunities at our base in Kingston upon Thames (so please bare this in mind).

As a Young Creative you will have the chance to make a substantial impact at our upcoming FUSE International 2023 and also the opening of our new creative space, FUSEBOX.

Each Young Creative will be paid for their time.  Creative Youth will also provide any key training or other support for the group and individual members as necessary.

What our previous cohort had to say

“Being part of the Young Creatives has been an incredible stepping stone in my career. We as a group came up with an assortment of ideas that are now being integrated within the organisation and it’s great that our young voices were heard and put into action. Creative Youth are an organisation run by people who will do everything in their power to help you progress in the creative industry and give you professional opportunities. After being on the Young Creatives board, within a year I was given the opportunity to become the Programme Manager for our annual summer festival. Seriously if you have an interest of running your own company or interested in becoming a producer, programmer, fundraiser, marketer, etc then you need to join this programme. I have met and worked with some incredible people now it’s time for me to pass the baton on.” – Tom Stocks

“I saw the ad for this new group that Creative Youth wanted to create and was instantly attracted to it but I didn’t think I had the skill set or the experience for what they were after – I had just recently come out of school and was working out the industry for myself. After reading about the great team and what they stand for, I realised that my experiences of being a young adult in the creative industry and my mindset was enough. I knew how I would like the industry to change and this was the perfect opportunity to try and make that happen for others who are in my situation and those who are less fortunate. The team is amazing – so open to what we put forward, constantly wanted to facilitate our ideas as well as keeping us realistic and sustainable. I can’t recommend this highly enough for everyone.” – Eleanor Clark
