60 Second Cinema Film Competition

Calling all young film-makers. The International Youth Arts Festival 2017 is calling for submissions to its 60 Second Cinema competition, in partnership with O2 and Go Think Big.

We’re looking for films of no more than 60 seconds on the subject of ‘Home.’  A selection of the best entries will be screened at the festival on the 9th July, followed by an award ceremony in the Rose Theatre Studio.

Films of any style or genre will be considered, and can be created using pro equipment or just a smartphone.

So unleash your imagination and start filming. The films can be comedies, silent, action, animation – anything. As long as it is no longer than 60 seconds.

Entrants must be 26 or under on 9th July 2017.

This competition is open to anyone aged 26 or under and the director/writer must be no older than 26. Entries with actors, extras or crew over this age will still be accepted.

Shortlisted entries will be announced on the 3rd of July 2017 with the screening on July 9th at 14:00 at the Rose Theatre Studio, Kingston.

Each film can be no longer than 60 seconds
No graphic violence
No unnecessary strong language
No nudity or scenes of a sexual nature
