So You Wanna Work in the Arts

We are excited to share news that So You Wanna Work in the Arts, a free webinar series for and by young people, will be returning from October 2020. Delivered by Creative Youth, the sessions will take place approximately once a month and will explore key topics affecting the arts industry, alongside practical advice sessions for emerging artists. 

Our online series was first launched at International Youth Arts Festival: Digifest in July 2020 and you can listen to the recordings via our Youtube channel.

So You Wanna Work in the Arts is part of Creative Youth’s wider Creative Talent Programme which offers artistic, strategic and business support to young emerging artists.

What I Didn’t Learn In School! Black British History

Join a panel of young creatives to discuss the Black British History that isn’t taught in schools, from The Empire Windrush to historical figures like Mary Seacole.

What does this lack of representation in British history mean to contemporary generations and what is the impact of being taught such a brief part of Black History?Organised by Creative Youth with Kingston Council’s Arts Service, panellists Kayla CadenceGemma Orleans-ThompsonIyata Golding and Myles Cameron will discuss how the arts can be a useful tool in supporting, inspiring and educating future generations.
