About the show

Story Storks presents King Athelstan, the Historically Funny tale of King Athelstan from boy to King.

Join Story Storks on a romp through history, as we learn all about Saxon King Athelstan. We witness King Alfred the Great gifting a young boy a purple cloak (is that why the local school have purple uniforms?) We train with Aunty Ethel to fight Vikings, and finally, we march north and put our skills to good use against the Viking hoards!

This historically accurate yet totally hilarious immersive theatre show is full of local history to keep the whole family entertained. Kids (and willing adults) get to join in on the wild adventures of a real King who was crowned right here in Kingston.

About the company

Story Storks is a Kingston based theatre company who create theatre and immersive theatre for children from 2 upwards. A not for profit, our work improves early years literacy, teaches Kingston Kids local history and will soon be telling stories to help shape the narrative on climate change. Now in our 13th year, we're a well established local favourite, and look forward to telling even more stories for at least another 13 years!

About the show

CAPA is excited to be returning to FUSE to present The "Greatest Movie Musical of All Time"! Filled with every memorable moment from the film and a downpour of unforgettable songs, Singin' in the Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren't always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.
