Volunteers are vital to all our work and the skills, energy and enthusiasm which our volunteers bring to every event and opportunity are key to our work as an organisation. Many of our volunteers come to us with little or no experience of the arts and for many, it has become a life-changing experience.

We have a fantastic core team of volunteers, which increases to more than 160 volunteers during International Youth Arts Festival. These teams work on a multitude of projects and there is a brilliant network of volunteers who share skills and experience with one another.

Volunteers can carry out a number of roles throughout the year and especially during the festival.

Get in touch if you would like to volunteer with us, or find out more about what is involved.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Administration & Production Office
  • Ambassadors
  • Event Management
  • Front of House/Meet and Greet
  • Marketing & Publicity
  • Mentors
  • Photography
  • Reviewing and Blogging
  • Technical Support

There are a number of benefits to being a Creative Youth volunteer. Volunteering with Creative Youth can help:

  • Increase skills
  • Enhance your CV

Creative Youth is a charity that aims to enable young people to realise their potential through the Arts.  The charity allows young people in Kingston, and surrounding areas, to be involved in innovative, original, ambitious projects working with artists of the highest quality.

Showcasing the best young talent nationally and internationally IYAF provides a platform where emerging young artists aged 5-26 years old can reveal and share their skills and artistic expression with local and visiting audiences.  Over the last 12 years the growth has been phenomenal; more than 30,000 young people have participated in delivering the festival as artists, project managers, interns, volunteers in Kingston Upon Thames.
