PRICE OF SILENCE

PRICE OF SILENCE is a contemporary dance duet exploring the tension between intimacy, control, and unspoken communication. Through intricate partnering and physical negotiation, the work examines how silence can both protect and suppress, revealing shifting dynamics of dependency, resistance, and connection. Nritya Alaap

Established in 2018 by Gairika Mathur, Nritya Alaap is dedicated to sharing the beauty, knowledge and transformative power of Odissi, one of India’s classical dance forms. Known for its graceful, sculptural movements, expressive storytelling, intricate footwork and rhythmic musicality, Odissi brings together devotion, emotion and visual elegance. Through performances, education and therapeutic initiatives, Nritya Alaap aims to make this ancient yet living tradition accessible to diverse audiences. The company plans to continue fostering artistic excellence, empowering individuals through dance, and creating meaningful platforms where movement, creativity and cultural heritage can enrich society as a whole.

Siheung City Youth Foundation and K-SH-Y present... Awakened by the Passion of Youth: Five Movements of Korea

This performance showcases the unique sensibility and energy of Korean vocalists and dancers, offering a stage where they can freely express their individual voices and movements. Just as cultures develop distinct characteristics shaped by their history and geography, this stage captures the dynamism and creativity of Korean music and street dance. Through the sounds and motions of these young Korean artists, we invite the audience to experience the vibrant, living present of Korean culture.

In connection is a dance company by choreographer Sofia Pomeroy, created with the aim to give the opportunity to train and perform to artists who have become dancers out of a conventional dance education. In connection offers the group a space to connect with the others, and the room through floorwork and partnering techniques, culminating at the end of each process with a performance.

ITCH Dance is an inclusive dance company for professional and pre-professional dancers, designed to provide exceptional experiences within dance. As a company, ITCH Dance encapsulates the harmonious unity between dancers whilst enhancing their performance training. Additionally, ITCH Dance persistently works to dismantle the historical binary concepts of dance whilst enabling freedom of expression and growth to artists.
