A lonely troll makes his home in the river, guarding his island with growls and grudges from the kings, traders and townsfolk who attempt to cross his territory. But as he tries to stop the flow of traffic over the river and his bridge, the troll begins to discover that Christmas has a strange habit of softening even the hardest hearts, and that maybe he doesn’t need to be lonely after all.
Set against a backdrop of local history, humour and music, The Christmas Troll is a warm, magical storytelling show about loneliness, generosity and the small acts that can change everything—especially at Christmas.

Story Storks is a Kingston-based children’s theatre company on a mission to help and inspire every child in the UK to read for pleasure and love where they live. We unlock the magic of fairytales through an innovative blend of storytelling and theatre, building language skills and helping children fall in love with stories. We also uncover local history and turn it into beautiful, engaging storytelling that helps little ones, and their grown-ups, feel even more connected to the place they call home.
