Application genres

The artforms FUSE incorporates are changing all the time. We don’t like to be prescriptive – fundamentally, if you have an idea, we want to hear about it. And whatever it is you bring, you can be assured of a supportive and energetic environment in which to present it.

After the success of 2021, our festival will continue to be split into 3 categories: Indoor, Outdoor and Digital.

Our current genres are:

  • Theatre
  • Stand Up
  • Dance/ Physical Theatre
  • Live Music (Full Gigs)
  • Circus
  • Burlesque/ Cabaret
  • Children, Family, Story Telling
  • Digital/ Online/ Podcasts
  • Visual Arts/ Installations/ Exhibitions
  • Musicals/ Gig Theatre
  • Immersive
  • Puppetry
  • Film
  • 1 person show
  • Workshops

For 2022, we are looking to extend our fringe programme and alongside this develop Kingston’s late night cultural scene. We are really keen to hear from up-and-coming bands, artists and stand-up comics.

Eventotron Knowledge Base

Short performance guide & application form

Every year Creative Youth, the charity behind FUSE, produce several events that include shorter extracts of work. In the past this has included a Gala night, outdoor music stage in Kingston marketplace, dance showcases and more and these events are all designed to showcase new young emerging talent.

If you are a musician, dance company, musician, stand-up, etc that isn’t ready to have a full show (40min +) to themselves and have any extracts or shorter pieces that are under 15 minutes, then please DO NOT apply via Eventotron and please apply here.

Our team at FUSE are fully aware of the challenges our international friends and applicants can face, now more than ever with the uncertainties caused by the global pandemic and Brexit. We are fully committed to making your process to perform with us as smooth as possible and will help in whatever way we can.
