We offer a number of opportunities to gain experience and make new connections

This includes helping with events at FUSEBOX, including our year-round programme of performances, exhibitions, creative projects, and community activities.

Volunteers are vital to everything we do and the skills, energy and enthusiasm which our volunteers bring to every event and opportunity are key to our work as a charity. This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting, vibrant venue, meet like-minded people, and gain valuable experience in events and customer service.

Who are we looking for?

We need friendly, reliable, and confident volunteers who:
✅ Are 18+ 
✅ Have great people skills and enjoy chatting with audiences
✅ Are comfortable handling card payments at the box office and bar
✅ Can stay calm under pressure in a busy event environment
✅ Love the arts and want to support emerging creatives

No previous experience is necessary – we’ll provide training! Whether you’re looking to gain experience, support local youth arts, or just be part of something fun and meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time will I need to give?
You are welcome to work as many or as few Creative Youth events as you like each season. These events/ volunteer shifts will be offered up on a “first come first serve” basis each season!

Are there restrictions on who can perform these roles, e.g. mobility, age, etc?
We are fully inclusive. Most of our venues and our office have full access. Volunteers at FUSEBOX must be 18+

I’m interested. What next?
All volunteers are required to join us for an informal chat prior to any work with us. This is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and understand the roles that you will be involved in. It also helps us to match your skills and interests to tasks that best suit you.

We provide a range of flexible volunteering opportunities with shifts available during the week, at weekends and at evenings.
