Are you a Young Creative?

AGED 16-30 & PASSIONATE ABOUT CREATING CHANGE THROUGH THE ARTS?

Creative Youth is thrilled to announce that we are now accepting applications for our next cohort of Young Creatives! We’re looking for up to 5 individuals interested in the creative sector, who are eager to join an existing team of 5 young people who bring fresh, diverse perspectives and ideas to Creative Youth.

This is a unique opportunity to influence and advocate for creative initiatives, develop leadership skills, and work alongside like-minded peers to make a meaningful impact on both the arts and the wider community.

ABOUT THE PANEL

What do our Young Creatives do?

The Young Creatives are a youth panel whose primary role is to capture youth voice and guide the direction of our organisation as we work towards our mission of creating futures through the arts. This panel provides valuable feedback and influences our future plans and ambitions. They work closely with the team and feedback to our Co-Directors, and Board of Trustees, ensuring that young peoples’ perspectives are at the heart of our work.

Additionally, there are opportunities to shape our artistic programme and make decisions about projects that can either be independent or group-based throughout the year. They also have access to Creative Youth’s resources to support these projects.

What do our Young Creatives receive?

  • Mentorship and advice from our experienced team
  • Free use of FUSEBOX for projects and events
  • Use of FUSEBOX as a free co-working space
  • Free tickets to all Creative Youth events
  • Sessions and visits to arts and cultural organisations
  • Development and networking opportunities within all fields of the creative industry
  • Support for independent projects

All Young Creatives take part on a voluntary basis. To make sure everyone can take part, each member receives a £250 stipend for the year.

We will also fully reimburse any out-of-pocket expenses, so you’re not left covering costs yourself.

If you have any additional access needs, there is extra budget available to support you. We encourage you to share what you need, and we’ll work with you to make sure you can participate comfortably.

“A key strength of the Young Creatives programme is the team itself particularly their openness, clear communication, and genuine commitment to collaboration. There is a strong sense that young people’s perspectives are valued and that their input can meaningfully shape decisions. This creates a supportive and encouraging environment, where participants feel listened to rather than included in a tokenistic way.” Young Creative Panel Member (25-26)
